Our Weekend....some good some bad, some happy some sad!

Scott was home this weekend and much to his delight (typed sarcastically of course) I had a full Saturday planned for him and my children. After weeks of looking at my lawn slowly become invisible underneath a never ending pile of leaves I decided it was time we finally got them cleaned up before the snow flies and temporarily covers them only to melt in the spring and reveal an even bigger mess. Surprisingly my wonderful family got up early and let me sleep and started on the task without me....Thank you guys!!!! Then I joined them and we spent the day (from like 8 am until 4 pm) attempting to clean up, with a short break having an "apple" fight. I never realized how many leaves grew on trees until they ended up on the ground, 2 pickup loads to be exact! While we were working i was even able to sweet talk scott into cutting down some of the dead branches on our big tree in back. It was alot of hard work and the next morning i think we were all feeling the affects, least i know i was. But alas you can once again see our grass, least til the snow flies!

Here are a few pictures i took of my hard working family, notice kenna doing what she does best...........posing for the camera lol

Then on Sunday it was time for scott to head back to work again. Here is where we get the sad and the bad. He headed off to travel back up to Wyoming and about 5 minutes after he left he calls me to head down the street because his pickup was on fire. Yep that's right about a block from the house he heard a pop and then smoke and flames came out from under his hood. Thankfully due to his time with the fire department he knew exactly what to do and had the fire out before I or the fire department arrived so the blaze was contained to the engine and he was not hurt. So now his truck is at the repair shop and we are awaiting the news as to exactly how bad the damage is, thank goodness for insurance!

Here are a couple pictures of what his engine looks like now

And to think we were suppose to be in Pheonix enjoying the race this weekend, UHG!!!

WOW!! It sure is a lucky thing though that scott did know how to put out the fire, so lets pray and cross our fingers the damage isn't to unbearable. What a crappy thing to happen though. It is sad to think about how your kids could've been with me this weekend. But that's ok. But nice work on getting all the leaves off the ground. I can't believe it took 2 truck loads, that's crazy!

And I could just possibly make some bows for your girls! E-mail me what colors they like to wear, so I can make some that match their outfits.

So it's your anniversary?!?! Happy Anniversary guys, how many years does this make?

Sorry about the truck, that's scary! All the leaf hauling just about blew the engine huh (joke)! I noticed you're a Twilight addict, are you like me and can hardly wait for the movie? Just one more week, I'm so excited!!!

Sorry that I forgot your anniversary too. I hope you had a fun one, even with the bad luck. I'm just glad that Scott is okay and that it happened close to home. Your yard looks nice.

My bets are on the 21st for the Tanner Christmas party; but that's unofficial, I haven't heard a word yet! And Jenny, I've been waiting to see what you thought of the movie, ya know, Twilight!
